Washington, D.C., June 25, 2024 The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR), the leading coalition of outdoor recreation trade associations representing the $1.1 trillion outdoor recreation economy, is seeking a passionate professional to join their team as Program and Administrative Director.

The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) collectively represents over 50 national associations, businesses, and state offices of outdoor recreation. ORR’s mission is to connect all Americans to the great outdoors and the benefits of time spent outside for jobs, the economy, communities, health, and quality of life.

Position Overview

The Program and Administrative Director will play a pivotal role across ORR’s program areas and general operations focusing on communications, policy, programs, and events. The Director will coordinate ORR members and industry stakeholders to educate officials on policies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for outdoor enthusiasts. This role is integral to ORR’s government relations, state-level education, communications, and Together Outdoors initiatives, as well as event coordination such as ORR Board Meetings and National Forums. This position reports to the Senior Vice President and Vice President of Programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a minimum of five years of experience in communications, writing, social media platforms, and organization. They should have exceptional writing and editing skills, project management experience, and the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with ORR members, partners, and policymakers. Compensation

ORR offers a competitive salary and benefits package. ORR is based in Washington DC, but the position can be remote. The salary range is $75-95k depending on experience and location.
