Washington, D.C. – The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) is pleased to announce the appointment of TaylorAnn Wooley as its new Government Relations and Administrative Manager. Wooley brings experience in federal policy, communications, stakeholder engagement, program management, and event coordination to ORR as the organization continues to advance the priorities of the nation’s outdoor recreation industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome TaylorAnn to the ORR team. She brings a terrific combination of policy experience, strong communications skills, and an ability to build relationships and bring people together around a shared mission,” said Jessica Wahl Turner, President of ORR. “As ORR continues to grow our work in Washington and across the country, TaylorAnn will play an important role in helping us engage our members, strengthen our programs, and advance policies that expand access to the outdoors and support the businesses, communities, and millions of Americans who depend on outdoor recreation.”
Wooley joins ORR from Across the Aisle, where she most recently served as Associate for Leadership Programs. In that role, she developed and executed communications strategies, built institutional partnerships, coordinated events across the country, and helped manage a nationwide network of program participants. Previously, she oversaw a network of more than 250 undergraduate ambassadors and planned events bringing together students and Washington, D.C. professionals.
Prior to Across the Aisle, Wooley worked in the United States Senate, serving as a Legislative Correspondent with responsibility for education, transportation, and infrastructure policy while also working on recreation, environmental, water, forestry, energy, and agriculture issues. Her experience also includes work in the Wyoming State Legislature.
As Government Relations and Administrative Manager, Wooley will work across ORR’s program areas, supporting operations, communications, policy, programs, and events. She will coordinate with ORR members and industry stakeholders to help educate Congress, federal agencies, and state governments on policies that expand outdoor recreation opportunities, strengthen communities and businesses, and improve Americans’ quality of life.
“I am excited to join the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable and help advance an industry that has such an important impact on communities, economies, quality of life, and health across the country,” said TaylorAnn Wooley, Government Relations and Administrative Manager of ORR. “I look forward to working with ORR’s members and partners, building on the organization’s strong work in Washington and the states, and helping ensure that more Americans have opportunities to experience and benefit from the outdoors.”
Wooley holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, Summa Cum Laude, from Black Hills State University, where she also earned minors in Communications, International Studies, Earth Sciences, and Geography.
